The Life of JO ANN POTTER

Jo Ann Potter was born on February 2nd, 1958 to parents Charles H. Potter(deceased) and Gloria D. Potter (deceased). Jo departed this life on January 14th, 2023.

Jo graduated from Penn Hills High School. She was the devoted loving partner to Gerald Freeman and loving mother to her three children Christina Potter, Brandi Freeman, and Gerald Freeman (deceased). She was one of 8 siblings, Jeffrey Potter (deceased), Francis Sharpley (deceased), Linda Treece, Howard Potter, Charles Potter, William Potter, and Charlotte Fitch.

Jo was employed for several years at Seneca Place and Mercy Hospital working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a strong advocate for the elderly.

She attended and was a member of Baptist Temple Church. 

She leaves to cherish the memories of their time together, her loving and devoted partner of fifty-one years, Gerald Freeman; her beloved daughters, Christina and Brandy; two sisters, Charlotte Fitch and Linda Treece; three brothers, William, Charles, and Howard; grandchildren Terrance and Teona and a host of other relatives, and numerous friends.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents Charles H. Potter and Gloria D. Potter. Her brother Jeffrey Potter and sister Francis Sharpley, her son Gerald Freeman, and her granddaughter Temani Lewis and great-granddaughter Kaari Thompson.

Jo Ann Potter will forever remain in our hearts and minds, WE LOVE YOU, JO!!
