The Life of Mr. Kenneth C. Kistler

Kenneth C. Kistler, 75, Alburtis, died Saturday, December 24, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of Marie E. (Wolfe) Kistler.  They were married August 1, 1997.  Born in Allentown, Kenneth was a son of the late Marvin J., Sr., and Kathryn M. (Brensinger) Kistler.  Kenneth was a member of  Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown.  He honorably and faithfully served our Country as a member of the United States Army.

Kenneth was a graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Class of 1964.  Following his return from military service, Kenneth attended and graduated in 1968 from Barber College, attaining certification as a Licensed Barber Instructor.  Following his graduation, Kenny began his 54 year career first working in Whitehall as a barber, then he and a partner opened Special Edition in Trexlertown.  Then, Kenneth opened his own shop, Kingfeathers, Trexlertown, which he operated until his retirement in 2017.

Kenny enjoyed racing his Buick Grand National in his limited spare time.  He was an Eagles fan, enjoyed spending time with family, and his two dogs Gizmo and Baxter.

In addition to his wife of 25 years, Marie, Kenneth is survived by a daughter, Karly B. (Kistler), wife of Richard Brynm, Florida; stepson: Jack H. Wolfe, fiance of Jessie L. Vicari, Alburtis; and Lance E. Wolfe, Emmaus. Other survivors include: a granddaughter, Vivianne Bravo; and a brother, Marvin J., husband of Elaine (Smullin) Kistler, Kutztown.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Kenny's life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. from Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown, with The Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Sassaman, officiating.  There are no public viewing or calling hours.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
