The Life of Audrey Broussard

Catholic funeral services will be held for Audrey Campbell Broussard on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 12:00 PM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette. Audrey was 98 when she went home to see her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 23, 2022 while in the care of her loving family at her residence.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 8:30 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend William Schambough, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Joshua K. Broussard and Christopher Michael Broussard. Eulogist will be Aimee Broussard Lewis.

Audrey was born in Forked Island, LA and spent her entire adult life in rural Lafayette Parish. She was a very giving person and was a woman of faith. Audrey was a home maker and the wife of a sharecropper. She was a wonderful caregiver for families in need. Some of her hobbies included playing Bourre, fishing and cooking, especially crab stew. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Thelma Broussard; her son, Linwood J. Broussard and his wife Shirley; her grandchildren, Aimee Broussard Lewis (Markus), Christopher M. Broussard (Allie), Joshua K. Broussard, Sharon Likes, Gaynell Broussard, Damon Evans and Brandon Harrington; her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Barnes, Annie Broussard, Wyatt Broussard, Jaden Broussard, Alyssa Broussard, Kaelyn Broussard, Ashton Evans, Andrew Evans, Samantha Evans, Cory Stutes, Vince Stutes, Nicole Winch, Marcus Broussard, Matthew Prejean, Madison Prejean and Joseph Prejean; and eleven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Broussard; her parents, Walter and Adonia Hargrave Campbell; her son, Nolan Harrington; her grandson, Daniel Abshire; her great grandsons, Xavier Broussard and Brent Stutes.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Broussard, Joshua Broussard, Damon Evans, Dennis Desormeaux, Ricky Landry and Ashton Evans.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Wyatt Broussard, Angela Landry and Annie Broussard.

The Broussard Family would like to thank Audrey's caregiver, Angela Landry, and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for their compassionate and loving care.
