The Life of Gail E Henderson

Gail E. Henderson (nee Wilcox), 79, of Vermilion, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice from complications of a stroke.

Gail was born May 1, 1943 in East McKeesport, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Mildred (nee Kincaid) Wilcox.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. Gail liked going camping and traveling, yard work and especially enjoyed her summer home in northern Michigan on Lake Huron.

Gail received her state certificate as a veterinary technician from the Ohio State University and was employed at Harbortown Animal Clinic in Vermilion for several years. She loved dogs, especially her pets, Rusty and Hunter. She was also a certified emergency medical technician working at Citizens Ambulance Service in Wakeman for 10 years. For 40 years, she assisted her husband in his business the Henderson Electric Company of Vermilion. For many years, Gail, along with her husband, Edward were members of the Vermilion Lions Club.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Edward W. Henderson; their three children, Charles 'Chuck' Henderson (Luzce) of Florida, Jeff Henderson (Wendy) of Perrysville, Kathy Henderson of Lorain; three grandsons, Bill (Brittney) Henderson of Virginia, Brian (Grace) Henderson of Perrysville, Brad (Blair) Henderson of Tennessee and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Smith Freed.

Private family services and burial were held at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, Lorain.
