The Life of JOAN REED EWART

Passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022 at the age of 93.

She had a full and vibrant life helping people all along the way, devoting her wisdom to community advocacy. She graduated from The Ellis School in Pittsburgh, before going on to Wheaton College where she earned a degree in Philosophy, and then on to Radcliffe College to receive a Masters in Business. Later in life, she attended The Western Theological Seminary of Pittsburgh, graduating with a Divinity degree. Her ministry was cross-denominational and extended to churches in Pittsburgh, as well as Rhode Island, focusing on spreading the Gospel, and her love of the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and is survived by her four children, Alice Ewart McClintic, Clarke Ewart, James Ewart, and Nancy Ewart; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, PA, on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
