Ms Felena was my mother Shirley's friend of over 50 years. My earliest memories are of ms Felena having parties  at her home and  seeing her sneaking a smoke. In her younger years she loved to dance and later in life she, her late husband and my mother and aunts would go on cruises together. She and my mom never lost touch even after she moved to Florida. Ms Felena could be a tough lady..she was very particular about what she liked and didn't. If she liked you, you were golden. If she didn't like you, you would know it. She loved my mom enough to fly up from Florida when I asked her to come up for my mom's surprise retirement party in 2007. That said a lot to me about their friendshiip and about her kidness to those she cared about.  I am so glad that my mom was able to get to Florida recently to see her before she passed.
