The Life of Mrs. Dorothy I. Edris

Dorothy (Dottie) I. Edris, 91, entered into rest Sunday November 6, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of the late Warren R. Edris. A viewing will be 9:30 – 10:30am Saturday November 19, 2022 at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 2114 West Market Street. The funeral service will begin at 10:30am at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Guiliano officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Edris was born October 5, 1931 in York, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Senft) Harrison. She was a member, since preschool, of Grace Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of William Penn Sr. High School and had been employed at Edgecomb Steel and Edris Oil Service. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends, spending many hours creating works of art whether it be knitting, quilting, needle point, and many more. Dorothy was loved by all. She was always kind and generous. She was as sweet as the fudge she liked to make. She was a member of the Out Door Country Club where she played golf with the Nine Holers for several years.

Dorothy is survived by her son Steven Edris and his wife Diane, Timothy Edris and his companion Cindy Richards: grandchildren Matthew and his friend Hayley, Jonathan, and Nicholas; nieces, nephews, and loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Gerald Harrison, Nelson (Tony) Harrison, George (Junior) Harrison, Donald Harrison, Delores (Sis) Haas, Norma Jean Wilkins, and Virgina Reed. Memorial contributions may be made to SpiriTrust Lutheran Hospice.
