The Life of Mr. David V. Gay

David V. Gay, age 70, of Spring Garden Township, York, died unexpectedly Monday, October 3, 2022, at his residence.

Born July 19, 1952, in York, the son of the late Richard W. and Mary Jane (Constantine) Gay, he was a graduate of York Suburban High School.  He was retired from Central Dauphin School District and, prior to that, had worked for McCrory’s Distribution Center until its closure.  He was an avid drag racing fan, and had traveled both nationally, and internationally, as a pit crew member and driver.

Mr. Gay is survived by his sister, Eileen Conners, and her husband Gerald J. Conners, Jr., of Harrisburg.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Prospect Hill Cemetery, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating.  Guests are invited to gather at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance to the Cemetery at 1:45 PM.  Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
