The Life of AUDREY M GALLAGHER

Audrey M. Gallagher, 72, of Laureldale, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Deacon John B. Gallagher. They were married June 12, 1971 and celebrated 51 years of marriage. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Broney and Rita (Lawrence) Porambo. She graduated from Panther Valley High School in 1968, and later attended Schoeneman's Cosmetology School. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Parish, Laureldale. Audrey was very involved at her church, making soup for bazaars, baking, and volunteering. She had a passion for gardening and cooking, and loved country music. Audrey always took time to visit folks who were homebound, and often delivered them food and other items they needed. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She was also a devoted mother and grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband is a son: John M. Gallagher, Muhlenberg Twp.; a daughter: Stacey A. (Gallagher) Dietrich, wife of Mark A., Penn Twp.; and three grandchildren: Kendall, Emmalyn, and William Dietrich. She is also survived by a sister: Debbie (Porambo) Kupres, Lansford. She was predeceased by her beloved pets: Dexter and Bentley A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 am from Holy Guardian Angels Parish, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:45 am in the church.
