The Life of Mrs. Norma Rae Heinz
Norma “Rae” Heinz, of York, age 93, passed away on August 21, 2022 at Pappus House in York, PA.
Rae was born in York, PA on August 14, 1929, a daughter of the late Norman and Mae (Shepperd) Julius. She graduated in the class of 1948 from William Penn High School.
Rae cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed researching family history, antiques and antiquing, celebrating Christmas and watching game and travel shows. Rae had a fabulous sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was kind, empathetic and generous. She retired from the York County Assistance Office where she was a case worker for 24 years.
Rae is survived by three sons, Gary of San Carlos, CA, Keith of York and Scott (Molly Rivera) of Bronxville, NY as well as two grandchildren, Zane and Sonora. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sue (Martin) Heinz; a sister, Jeraldine Graham, and 4 brothers: Linden, Richard, Robert and John Julius.
Private burial services will be held at Greenmount Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later time. If interested in attending, please email Molly Rivera at raeheinzmemorial
