The Life of Mrs. Helen A. Colavito

Helen A. Colavito, age 88, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Dominic L. Colavito, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Split Rock of Shelton.  Born in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late John and Vincenza DelBiondo, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1964. Helen had been a member of the Patterson Club where she enjoyed tennis, golf and bowling in the Ladies Bowling League.  She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family and loved animals of all kinds. Helen will be sadly missed by her three beloved children, Rocco D. Colavito of Milford, John R. Colavito and his wife Donna of Milford and Lisa Colavito White of Trumbull, ten adoring grandchildren; Dominic, Allison, Steven, Vincent, Dorinda, Cara, John, Emily, Cooper and Coral; six cherished great-grandchildren; a sister, Edda Turcio of New York; a brother, Joseph DelBiondo of New York; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her loving husband, Dominic, she was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and Livio DelBiondo.   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Entombment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Monday, from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
