The Life of Mr. Michael J. Kuznar Sr.

Michael J. Kuznar Sr, 84, of Lorain, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday June 23, 2022.

 

He was born April 1, 1938 in Sandusky and had resided in Lorain most of his life. Michael worked as a machinist at American Crucible in Lorain retiring after 37 years. He was a member of St Peter Parish, the former St Stanislaus Catholic Church, Amherst Sportsmen Club and the Sportsmen Gun & Reel Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, keeping his car clean, woodworking and word search puzzles.

 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosemary E. Kuznar (nee Greco); children: Michael J. Kuznar Jr of Columbus, Judy Dostall (Jim) of Oberlin and Melissa Berlingeri (Tony) of Mayfield Heights; grandchildren: Ashley Johnson (Leo), Joseph M Kuznar (Lyndsey), Brandon J. Kuznar (Keyara), Samantha Dostall, Stephanie Dostall (fiancé Ty Basilius), Christa Sternad (Nick) and Hannah Berlingeri; 11 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Michael D. & Mary E. Kuznar and sisters: Mary Ann Linna and Marilyn Mucha.

 

The family will receive friends Monday June 27, 2022 from 11:00 am until Noon at St Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The mass of Christian Burial will follow at Noon in church with the Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
