The Life of Mrs. Jane S. Behm

Jane S. (Weller) Behm, 65, of District Township, died suddenly on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in her residence. She was the wife of Donald J. Behm. They were married June 20, 1981. Born in Allentown, Jane was a daughter of the late Herbert H. and Margaret A. (Derr) Weller. She was a former member of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis.

 

Jane was a graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School, Class of 1975. Jane first worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Royal Manufacturing Company, Alburtis. She then was employed as a BINGO caller at Fun-Place Bingo, 5th Street, Reading; then at Oley Walk-In Bingo, for many years until her retirement.

 

Jane was a member of Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to being a BINGO caller, Jane also loved to play BINGO! She enjoyed doing word searches, and writing letters to friends and family.

 

In addition to her husband of 41 years, Donald, Jane is survived by her children, Crystal A. Behm and Mark D. Behm, both of District Township; granddaughter, Avaya M. Egolf; and sister, Caroll A. (Weller), wife of Jeffrey Weida, Fleetwood. In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by a sister, Diane S. (Weller) Fusselman.

 

Services for Jane will be held at a future date.

 

The family requests contributions be considered in Jane's memory to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.

Lovely Woman

The Bowling Alley memories are priceless.  Jane was a sweet, kind, and generous woman who loved and cared about her family very much ❤ 💜 💙.  She will be deeply and sadly missed by all.

I met Jane many years ago at Kutztown Walk-In Bingo.  Always enjoyed chatting with her.  Crystal and family, so very sorry for your loss.

Relative

I knew Jane and her family for a long time.  She was a cousin to my late husband, Bruce.  My thoughts and prayers are with Donnie and the family at this sad time.
