The Life of DAPHNE MARIE TEFFT

Daphne Marie (Cox) Tefft

Daphne was born in Avoca, Iowa on November 5, 1932, to Sterra (Beggs) and Howard Cox, and passed August 21, 2021, in Ankeny, Iowa.
She graduated from Des Moines Tech and attended Drake University where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and a devoted member of the First UMC Faith Chapel.

Daphne will be remembered for her wonderful artwork and known for her design of the stain glass windows at Faith Chapel and ‘Concierge Herky’ for University of Iowa. Many were blessed with her love, volunteer services and her infectious laugh.

Daphne will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her three sons, Charles Jr. (Beth) Tefft of Tecumseh, Ontario, Frank Tefft of Texas, Bob (Cheri) Tefft of Ankeny, Iowa; and grand children, Nate Tefft, Brandon (Laura) Reese, Hal Kennette, Zak Kennette, Jessyka Reardon, Justin Tefft; and great grandson, Michael Pritchard. She is also survived by her sister, Georgia Streett of St. Louis Mo., and many nieces and nephews.

Daphne was preceded in death by husband Charles, her parents, brothers Howard Jr. and Frank, daughter in law Michelle Tefft, her grandchildren Jaimie Tefft, Aaron Tefft and Cameron Reese.

Services will be held at a later date, when friends and family can be together.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mill Pond Care Center for the compassionate care given to her.
