The Life of Ora Elizabeth Buford

Mrs. Ora Elizabeth Buford, 89, a former resident of 509 North Clinton St., Olathe, KS, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022. She was a retiree of Delco Battery Plant and passed at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Rev. James E. and Judith A. Thompson, at 1310 Bunche Ave., Greenwood, SC.

She leaves to mourn her passing, daughters Judith Thompson (Reverend James), Brenda Simmons (Ollie) and Muriel Anderson of Kansas City, MO; her brother Floyd Threat (Uretta) of Tulsa, OK, and her brother-in-law Rev. Leon Burley of Olathe, KS. Ora is also survived by a host grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mrs. Cecil P. Threat and Mr. Samuel P. Threat; her husband Medill Buford; her daughter Irene Johnson; five brothers and five sisters.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St. Olathe, Kansas, 60661.
