Lafayette, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at an 11:30 am Service in First Baptist Church located at 210 South Morgan Avenue, Broussard, LA 70518 for Bonnie Smith, who died on January 23, 2022 at Cedar Crest Memory Care in Lafayette, LA.
Interment will be in the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette, LA.
Reverend Weldon Moak of First Baptist Church in Broussard will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include daughter, Kathy Smith and special friend Mary Strauss, three grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Micha Smith, Elizabeth Dupuis, six great grandchildren, Alyssa Brooke Linch, Cassidy Maree Linch, Eric Shawn Linch, Kallie Jean Thibeaux, Ridge Asher Smith and Ryker Niette, five great great grandchildrem, Cayden Allen Linch, Raegan Gayle Armstrong, Avery Lynn Armstrong, Daelen Linch, Aylah Linch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.W. "Cotton" Smith, son, Mike Smith, parents, Griffin Walter Hotzclaw and Golden Emma Roberts Holtzclaw, grandchild, Michelle Smith Linch, grandson-in-law, Shawn Linch, three sisters and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be Eric Linch, Moxey Bordelon, Jimmy Bordelon, Richard Arceneaux, Richard Leblanc, Louis Armstrong and Alyssa Linch.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to Mary Strauss and Ilene Bordelon for all the special care given to Mrs. Bonnie.
The family requests that visitation be observed at First Baptist Church in Broussard, LA on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 10:30 am until 11:30 am.
