The Life of Ms. Jean Mary Ehrets

Jean Mary (Unger) Ehrets, 80, of Luther Meadows, Topton, formerly of Cleaveland, GA, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 in St. Luke’s University Health Network, Allentown Campus.

Born in Allentown, Jean was a daughter of the late Edgar A. and Agnes (Tworkoski) Unger. Jean was a 1959 graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School, Topton. Upon graduating high school, Jean worked as a seamstress at the former Rems Knitting Mill, Emmaus and H. K. Deisher Knitting Mills, Kutztown.  Jean enjoyed making crafts, building puzzles, and playing pinochle.

Jean is survived by her three children, Bernard Ehrets, Charlotte (Ehrets) Frederick and Steven Ehrets; four siblings; George Unger, Lee, husband of Sandra (Cope) Unger, Samuel, husband of Sarah (Moyer) Unger, and Alicia (Unger) Effting; and four grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Jean was predeceased by siblings Larry Unger and Rose (Unger) Trexler.

Graveside services and burial in Huffs Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis, will be held privately by her family.
