The Life of Shirley M DiLalla
Shirley M. Di Lalla, 84 formerly a resident of Millsboro, DE, Melbourne, FL and Media, PA,
passed away November 2, 2021.
Shirley was born in Clifton Heights, PA to the late Newlin and Mary Black burn. She was a
graduate of Clifton Heights High School in 1955. She worked for Boeing for 30 years until
her retirement in 1992 as an Executive Secretary. She moved to Florida with her husband
and decided she missed working so she worked for Northrop Grumman part-time as
needed as an Administrative Assistant. She loved the flexibility of her part time job as it
gave her plenty of time to travel with her husband including numerous trips to Las Vegas.
Shirley enjoyed life to the fullest. She had an infectious laugh and a terrific sense of
humor. Shirley always looked on the positive side of things brightening up everyone's day.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be
dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband, Peter P. Di Lalla, and her son Peter Di Lalla.
Survived by her daughter Cheryl Di Lalla Snyder and son-in-law Daniel Snyder, grandsons
Jason Hughes, Robert Hughes, and Ryan Hughes, and great-grandchildren Taylor
Hughes and Carter Hughes.
Interment: Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
