Obituary - Rita J. (nee Angelucci) Coonelly, 79, of Drexel Hill, PA, died October 27, 2021 at home. Born in Phillipsburg, PA and raised in Ardmore, she attended St. Denis grade school and was in the first graduating class of Archbishop Prendergast High School for Girls in 1960. Rita had been employed as a customer service representative and manager at the Fresh Grocer at Barclay Square and later Drexeline, retiring after 20 years in 2017. She was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church in Upper Darby for over 50 years.  Rita enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, ceramics, and reading. Her family, friends and customers described her as a kind and thoughtful person.  Rita also enjoyed her cats, spoiling her grandsons, and watching the Phillies. She loved listening to music and was an especially devoted fan of both Dean Martin and Elvis Presley. Survivors: include her husband Gerard "Gerry"; daughters, Theresa (Luke) Bell and Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Roken, Grandchildren, Jack, Nicholas & Andrew, Brother-in-law Thomas F. Coonelly (Marie) and many nieces and nephews.

Service: Memorial Service will be 11am Friday, November 5, 2021 at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, Drexel Hill, where friends may call after 10 am. Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
