The Life of STEPHEN A LESHKO

Stephen A. Leshko, 89, of Reading, passed away during the morning hours of Tuesday October 26, 2021 in Manor Care-Sinking Spring. Mr. Leshko is survived by his loving wife Lottie M. (Lemanek) Leshko. Born in Foster Township, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Wargo) Leshko. In addition to his wife, Mr. Leshko is survived by his children; Judy A. Leshko wife of Todd Bucks, of Bernville PA and Diane E. Leshko of Reading. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Jennifer Garner, Derrick Leshko and Anthony Hartenstine. Mr. Leshko is also survived by his great-grandchildren; Dakota Garner and Willow Garner. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mr. Leshko was predeceased by his brothers; Joseph and John and his sister Mary. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Mr. Leshko was a proud veteran having served in The United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for forty years as a painter by I. Losch until his retirement. Mr. Leshko was proud of his slovak heritage and enjoyed playing his accordion in different polka bands, he was a member of the Polish Falcons and Pulaski Post. He will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends may extend their sympathy and respects to the Leshko family on Monday November 1, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church 250 South Twelfth Street Reading PA 19602. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Mary R.C. Cemetery, Reading. In lieu of flowers, please have a Mass said for Mr. Leshko, or make a contribution to the charity of your choice. The Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home, Inc., Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
