The Life of JOYCE JEANETTE MAYLONE

Joyce J. Maylone, 85, passed away on October 19, 2021, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born in Guthrie Center, Iowa, on February 26, 1936.

Joyce enjoyed the state fair, rodeos, and old country music. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Roy Maylone; children, Martha (Don), Joanne (Mark), and Mark (Julie); stepchildren, Lorie May, Linda, Ernie, Leroy, Chester, Ricky, and Scotty; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with a sister, Mary Pearson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mary; brother, Floyd Jr., and great-grandchildren, Ryan and Paisley Anne.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
