The Life of Mr. Jeremiah C. Heffner

Jeremiah C. "Jerry" Heffner, 79, of Maxatawny Township, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in his residence. He was the widower of Geraldine J. (Green) Heffner, who died on March 12, 2013 and whom he married on April 23, 1960.

 

Born in Krumsville, Jerry was a son of the late Jeremiah K. and Anna V. (Angstadt) Heffner and was a member of Zion's Union Church of Maxatawny. He was employed for over 25 years by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyons, as Line Worker and later, a Leadman. Jerry also worked at the former Wayne's Dry Goods and Western Auto, both of Kutztown.

 

He was a member of the Flying Dutchman Snowmobile Club and enjoyed tinkering around his home and playing Hausey.

 

Jeremiah is survived by his three children, Sheryl A. (Heffner), wife of Ray A. Wiltrout, Mertztown, Sue E. (Heffner), wife of Loyde A. Nomland, Mertztown and Jarrod T. Heffner, Kutztown; eight grandchildren, Alex Wiltrout and wife Kim, Jordan Geist, and wife Amanda, Lauren (Wiltrout) Winder, and husband Seth, Erica Geist, Sydney Heffner, Jacob Heffner, Emma Heffner and Benjamin Heffner; brother, Robert N. Heffner, companion of Sharon A. (Wagaman) Larsen, Fleetwood; five great-grandchildren, August Wiltrout, Jameson and Judah Winder, Noah and Savannah Geist; and five step grandchildren.

 

Services and burial will be held privately in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Fleetwood (Rockland Township).

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Jeremiah's memory to Zion's Union Church, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, PA  19530.
