The Life of Jane Temoshok

Jane Arena Temoshok (Nov. 10, 1955 – Aug. 16, 2021) was a mother, a teacher, a friend and a generous spirit. She is survived by her adored children, Alex and Marisa, her brother, Jeff, her niece and nephew, Nicole and Gavin, and family and life-long friends on both coasts.

From an early age, Jane had an over-flowing curiosity about how people and the world worked. After a childhood in Long Island (NY), she came west to San Francisco where her wacky sense of adventure had a home with her posse of pals and her beloved sister Joanne. She also met her ex-husband, David, in her indomitable Jane-style by wheedling an introduction at a party, and they began a life that included exhaustively exploring the Bay Area and globe-trotting to exotic locales. They subsequently settled outside Washington DC, where she had fulfilling jobs, fostered Labs and developed deep friendships. Jane’s greatest joy was her two children, who were the luckiest kids alive and enjoyed lives filled with play and creativity. She was beloved by her entourage of friends and leaves this world a sadder, paler place.

In lieu of flowers, Jane asked that all who are moved to give please donate to the Arlington Animal Welfare League: https://www.awla.org/
