Mary Louise Boyer, 88, of Blandon passed away Tuesday at the Reading Hospital.

Born April 19, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Howard and Katie May Shadel Schappell.

Mary Lou was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School.  She will be fondly remembered for her love of baking and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband John A. Boyer who passed away in 2002.  She is also predeceased by her son John A. Boyer along with twelve siblings.

Mary Lou is survived by her children; Judy Petrick, wife of Paul of Doyle TN, Linda Hoffman of Phillipsburg NJ, Mark Boyer husband to Allison of Macungie, and Holly Harry wife of Stephen of Whitehall.  She is also survived by grandchildren; Melissa, Samantha, Julie, Christopher, and Rachel along with four great grandchildren with one on the way and siblings Paul Schappell and Barbara Staller and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on July 12th on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.  Grabowski Funeral Home is entrusted with the services.  Memories and condolences can be shared at www.grabowskifuneralhome.com
