The Life of John Clare Page
John Clare Page, 66, of Olathe, KS, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on June 8th, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife and children.
John was born in Los Angeles, CA to Andria and R.C. Page on November 26th, 1954. John was the third of four boys who were known around town as “Those Page Boys” due to their playful mischief and orneriness.
In the summer of 1975, John moved to Texas to pursue work and higher education; however, he found something even better, the love of his life Susan Lynn Page (Suzy). While truly smitten with Suzy, John was also introduced to a new love, the love of Jesus Christ. John was baptized into the Lutheran church and carried his faith and love of the Lord for the remainder of his life.
Immediately after being wed, John and his new bride moved to Kansas to begin their life together. John found work in corporate travel and continued in that field for the entirety of his career. John’s “Page Boy” streak continued and he developed a reputation as a fun-loving prankster among his co-workers.
John and Suzy’s family grew with the births of their two children, Anna Clare and Taylor James. John was a loving and devoted father. He showed unwavering commitment to his family. John loved his children so deeply. Whether it was a baseball or softball game, dance recital, band or orchestra concert, John could always be counted on to be there to support and encourage his children.
John loved having fun with his family and shared countless corny jokes and playful pranks to create a happy home that was filled with laughter.
John’s devotion shone through with the births of his four grandchildren. He took joy in being a Grampy and was constantly finding new ways to make the kids smile. John loved spoiling them and went above and beyond to make them feel special.
John enjoyed traveling and was able to see many parts of the world with his family. He also enjoyed playing cards, watching movies, finding nifty gadgets and spending time with his family and friends.
John was a steadfast friend to many and always made time to be there for the people he cared about. He was incredibly thoughtful, painfully cheesy, and an incredible example of how to love others.
John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan Lynn Page, his daughter, Anna Clare Osborn (Nate), his son, Taylor James Page (Melissa) and grandchildren, Evelyn, Lillianna, Thomas and Waverly Page.
A funeral service will be held at Penwell-Gabel in Olathe on Monday, June 14th at 2:00 pm, with visitation offered at 1:00pm . A private burial will follow at Olathe Memorial Cemetery for the family.
