The Life of Mary C Hannum

Mary C. Hannum (nee Chain), 103 years young, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on April 12, 2021.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Charlotte Chain (nee White).

Mary attended Grace Chapel in Havertown, PA, where she sang in the Choir and taught Sunday School.  In 1991, Mary moved to Lancaster, PA and attended Calvary Church, where she was a Prayer Warrior. 

Mary enjoyed counted cross stitch, sewing, knitting, reading and the Philadelphia Phillies. 

Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Hannum and her siblings Dr. Robert Chain and Edna Herre.

She is survived by her loving daughters Barbara Metz (the late Lester), Virginia Woodbury (Nicholas), Margie Carroll (Joe) and Cheryl Cutter (Smith).  She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Grace Chapel, One W. Eagle Road, Havertown, PA.   Interment is private.
