The Life of Mr. Raymond F Chevaux Jr.

Raymond F. Chevaux, Jr., 83, entered into rest Tuesday March 9, 2021 at the home of his son. He was the husband of the late Bette Strine Chevaux, and companion of the late Susan Mail. A celebration of life will be held when it is safe to gather. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., East York, is assisting with the arrangements. Mr. Chevaux was born January 22, 1938 in York, a son of the late Raymond F., Sr., and Edith (Schleeter) Chevaux. He was a graduate of Central York Senior High School and served in the US Army. He retired as Lineman with Met Ed in 1989. He was a member of Dover Bethany United Methodist Church, the American Legion Shiloh post, and the IBEW. He was a member of Liberty Social Club, the Rooster Club, the 13th Ward Social Club, and the NRA. Raymond is survived by his children Ray Chevaux, Brett A. Chevaux and his wife Angela, Jamie R. Jacobs and her husband Howard; grandchildren Corbin A. Chevaux, and Chloe Baker; a sister Susan Maul and her husband Mike; the mother of his children Jeanne Evans, nieces, nephews, and loving extended family. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jenna I. Chevaux, a grandson John M. Baker, Jr.; and a brother William Chevaux.
