Family fried, Devout Catholic

I first met Zachary D'Sousa and his lovely family in 1973, at Blessed Sacrament parish.  His son Malcolm and my brother Michael were good friends who served many Masses together as altar boys.  He often invited my mother, brother and I to his home to visit with his wife and children.  Zachary was always a generous host, offering us lots of food and drink and Pakistani dishes as well!  We would often encounter the priests assigned to the parish there as well, relaxing and enjoying the family's company.  I especially remember how he took care of his beautiful mother who lived with them.  She was always present and in prayer, with her Rosary beads in hand, wearing a white Sari.  I can still see her kind and gentle face with a smile upon it, putting me in mind of Mother Teresa.  My heart is happy to think that he is now, once again, in the company of his mother and his grand-daughter, Victoria, in the Presence of the Lord and Our Lady.  I remember that Zachary was a devout Catholic, who loved and served the Church at Blessed Sacrament for many years.  My husband and I are sad to have only learned of his passing after his funeral.  We will pray for the repose of his soul, for his wife Annie and for Malcolm, his sister Marilyn and their families.  Eternal rest grant unto his soul O Lord and let Perpetual Light shine upon him.  May he rest in peace.  Amen.  Jesus I Trust in You.  Donna & Michael Stanislaw
