Anny K.K Carey, age 78, (nee Boller) died January 14, 2021 in her home in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Anny worked as a Medical Tech for many years at Fitzgeral Mercy Hospital and Delaware County Memorial Hospital. She had been a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Lansdowne.
Anny was born in Denmark on October 6, 1942 on a farm on the outskirts of Randers. She grew up in a safe and loving home with mum, dad and 3 siblings. When Anny started her schooling it became obvious that she was very intelligent and trained as a medical laboratory technologist at Randers Hospital and studied in Aarhus in Denmark
Anny’s wanted to see and experience the whole world. She wanted to help the sick and needy. Her education enabled her to travel the world and work. In 1969 she moved to New York. Anny managed to live and work in Lapland, Greenland, Denmark and the USA.
She was briefly married from 1974-79. During this time, Anny and her husband settled in Philadelphia.
During the approximately 40 years Anny lived in USA, it was very clear that she loved both the USA and Denmark and visited Denmark every two years and she maintained a close and good contact with her family and friends.
Anny also had a large circle of friends in the United States, work colleagues, friends and neighbors, whom she greatly appreciated.
The last few years Anny’s health restricted her ability to enjoy the activities of her earlier years. Anny was a very loving, caring and helpful person, who always thought of others before herself. Anny leaves behind family in Denmark; sister, brother, nephews, nieces and friends; In the Upper Darby area she will be remembered by friends, neighbors and colleagues.
Anny will be loved and missed forever.
She will be laid to rest 12 noon (DST) April 5, 2021 at the Monticello Mausoleum at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill, Pa 19026 (USA). Anyone attending should gather at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at the same address.
