The Life of Walter Kolynych

Walter Kolynych passed away on January 25, 2021. Born in Clifton Heights, PA in 1930, Walt lived his whole life there until 2017 when he moved to Luther House Independent Living in Jennersville, PA. Walt graduated from Clifton Heights HS in 1948. He joined the U.S. Army and spent two years serving in Germany before he was honorably discharged in 1954. He worked at Countryside Ford (now Springfield Ford) in Springfield for over 50 years. He was an avid fisherman and Eagles fan. In his early years, he loved to spend time in the Ukrainian Club. He is survived by his stepson, Hugh (Becky) Diamond; grandsons, Mark (Jordana) Diamond and Sean (Lauren) Diamond; two great grandchildren, Luke Diamond and Lily Diamond; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen (Henrich/Diamond) Kolynych; his parents, Michael and Anastasia Kolynych; three brothers, Michael Kolynych, William Kolynych, and John Kolynych; and three sisters, Ellen Grier, Mary Zebrowski, and Anne Wlazelek.
