The Life of Robert H. Reinhard

Robert "Bobby" H. Reinhard, 90, of Deer Lake, formerly of Longswamp Township, devoted husband of Pauline B. (Litschke) Reinhard, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in his home.  Born in Emmaus, and raised in the Village of Huff's Church, he was a son of the late Raymond E. and Mamie A. (Heil) Reinhard.

Bobby was an active member of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis, for over 80 years.  He retired after 40 years of service to Air Products, Trexlertown.

Bobby loved sports, hunting and fishing, but most of all his family.  In his younger days he played football, baseball and softball.  He was an avid reader and crossword puzzle fanatic.  He wrote and acted in many Pennsylvania Dutch plays at Huff's Church.  Bobby was known for his quick wit and humor.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  His position as father, grandfather and great grandfather will be irreplaceable.

In addition to his wife of 72 years, Pauline, Robert is survived by a son Stephen F., husband of Deborah L. (Schoedler) Reinhard, Topton; daughters, Theresa M. "Tess" (Reinhard), wife of Joseph A. Woloszanski, Kutztown; Heather J. (Reinhard) Fritz, Deer Lake.  Other survivors include eight grandchildren: Jason, John, Michael, Stephanie, Thomas, Benjamin, Amanda, and Ethan.  There are also eight great grandchildren.  Bobby was predeceased by a son, Scott R. Reinhard; six brothers, and two sisters.

Dancing

We were at a dance at The Little Red School House. Bobby pulled me out on the dance floor and artfully twirled me around that floor. After that, I was convinced I was a good dancer although my feet barely touched the floor the entire time. Of course it was Booby who was the good dancer. I have wonderful memories of him and Pauline doing the Fox trot together over the years.
