The Life of Dorothy Soudier Emmerson
Dorothy Soudier Emmerson, 88, of Ansonia, wife of the late Alfred Emmerson, died Oct. 11, 2010. Daughter of the late Nicholas and Marie Stockart Soudier, she was born July 25, 1922 in Ansonia. Mrs. Emmerson worked for Derby Nursing Home as supervisor of housekeeping. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ansonia and also a member of the Ansonia Senior Center. She is survived by her daughter Joan Loftus and two sons Robert D. Emmerson and Alfred T. Emmerson all of Ansonia; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by three brothers, Nicholas, Edward and Frederick Soudier and her sister Mary. Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, Ansonia handled arrangements. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
