The Life of Reinerio Santa
SANTA Reinerio Santa, age 70, beloved husband of Sonia Lopera Santa of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday evening, September 20, 2010 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Santa was born in Pereira, Colombia on June 24, 1940, son of the late Gerardo and Elena Piedrahita Santa. A resident of Ansonia for thirteen years, he was employed as a machine operator and carpenter in New York until his retirement. Reinerio especially enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid soccer fan. Besides his wife, Sonia, he is survived by two sons, Diego (Nancy) Santa of Windermere, Fla. and Alvaro (Viviana) Santa of Ansonia; three daughters, Adriana Santa and her husband, Geovanni Garzon of Ansonia, Sandra (Tony) Sampaio of Derby, and Angela (Johnny) Viteri of Ansonia; a brother, Aldemar (Nelly) Santa of Bronx, N.Y.; two sisters, Aida Santa of Virginia and Gloria Santa of Bronx, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Ivonne, Sebastian, Steven, Jessica, Stephanie, and Kimberly Santa and Michael and Diane Garzon; a great-granddaugh-ter, Natalie Santa; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at 9:15 a.m. from the Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of the Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home.
