Opthamologgist E. Howard Bedrossian died of heart failure. The Drexel Hill resident came from a family that has provided eye care to Delaware County residents for more then 82 years. The practice was established by his father Edward in 1923. In the 1950's, Dr. Bedrossian took over and later shared the practice with his son Ned for 23 years until retiring this past June.

Dr. Bedrossian served as a flight surgeon in the Air Force from 1946 to 1948. He was also a pilot, licensed at 19. He flew often, with his wife and fellow pilot Adelle Parsons Bedrossian. For more then 40 years, Dr. Bedrossian taught at the areas major teaching hospitals. He also wrote extensively.

Dr. Bedrossian is survived by Adelle, his wife of 30 years, son Ned, son William, daughter Trinda Ristau, stepsons Jeffrey and Charles Parsons, a sister, a brother, 19 grandchildren, two gr-grandsons, and a former wife Rosetta Buyanowski.
