The Life of Norma Ann Johnson

Norma "Cooky" Roseboro Johnson, age 59, of Waterbury and formerly of Ansonia, passed away Saturday March 3, 2007 after a long illness.  Cooky as she was known lovingly by her friends and family was born February 21, 1948 in Derby, daughter of the late Wade and Ruth Scofield Roseboro.  She was raised in Ansonia by her loving grandparents, the late John and Mary Evora.  She graduated from Ansonia High School and went on to take classes in creative writing and buriness at several institutions.  She was employed at the former S.N.E.T. as well as the New Haven Post Office where she retired from in 2001.  She was a Parishioner of the Church of Assumption in Ansonia.  Norma's love of family, friends ad life came from her strong Christian belief that we are all god's children.  She gave that love to all those she leaves to carry on her memory.  She is survived by thee sons, Eric Thomas of Naugatuck, Tim Roseboro and Barry Johnson Jr., both of Waterbury; tw brothers John "Buddy" Lathrop of Ansonia and Clifford Roseboro of New Haven; six sistrs, Roberta Hopkins and Avis Grant, both of New Haven, Ruth Rogers of West Haven, Benita Lee of Cumberland, VA, and Iiri Mellow-Barne of Hamden and Lisa Campo of MA.  She was predeceased by a brother, Wade Roseboro, Jr and a sister Brenda Hopkins.   Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m from the Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St, Ansonia.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.  Friends may call on Thurday from 9 to 11 a.m. before the service begins
