The Life of Mary D'Ascanio Aceto
Mary D'Ascanio Aceto, 70, a lifelong Ansonia resident, wife of Pasquale "Pat" Aceto died Oct. 17, 2009 at Hewitt Memorial Hospital in Shelton. Daughter of the late Emilio and Ida D'Ascanio, she was born Aug. 3, 1939 in Derby. Mrs. Aceto attended the Assumption Grammar School, graduated from Ansonia High School, Class of 1957 and was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. She worked as an electronics assembler for Samarius Co. of Derby. Besides her husband, survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Franzis and her husband Patrick and son Daniel Aceto and his wife Karen all of Naugatuck; her sister Lena Sbardellati of Ansonia, two brothers Sam D'Ascanio of Southington and Dr. Joseph D'Ascanio of Trumbull as well as three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home handled arrangements. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
