The Life of Frances R. Stumpo Witzmann

Frances T. Witzmann, a lifelong Derby resident, entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2009. She was born in Derby, daughter of the late Carmine and Mary Garfalo Stumpo. She worked as a seamstress for Sikorsky Aircrafter for 20 years, and attended the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. She was a member of the Ansonia and Derby Senior Centers and enjoyed going to the casino. She is survived by her son Joseph Witzmann and his wife Maureen (Fainer) Witzmann of Ansonia; two grandchildren, Alycia and Joseph; her beloved companion, Allen Jones; and sister Bernice Tangredi and her husband Anthony of Naugatuck. She is also survived by brother-in-law Frank Tracy of Meriden; sister-in-law Adele Stumpo of Derby; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved Scruffy. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Carmine Stumpo and two sisters, Dorothy Tracy and Berlina Stumpo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Church of the Assumption on Wednesday March 11th. Burial will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The Junkins-King Funeral Home Ansonia is entrusted with the arrangements.
