The Life of Doris Cox Faught Smith
L. Doris Cox Faught Smith, 84, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008 after a brief battle with brain tumors. Most would say that cancer won, but those who knew her knew she died on her own terms. She was preceded in death by her son, William Faught Jr., first husband, William B. Faught, Sr; and husband Orville R. Smith. She is survived by her two daughters, Thelma Urquis of New York City, and Joyce Avlakeotes of Santa Rosa, Calif; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Evelyn Radovich of Seymour. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 19, 2008 at the Chapel in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
