The Life of Ann Mickiewicz Waldorf

Ann T. Waldorf, 94, born June 2, 1914, daughter of the late John and Louise Kuzma Mickiewicz, widow of Earl Waldorf Sr., died Tuesday January 20, 2009 at Griffin Hospital. Survivors include a sister Jean Mickiewicz of Ansonia, a daughter Betty and her husband Bob Scott of Niantic and a son Earl Waldorf Jr. and his wife Joan (Nichols) of Seymour. She also leaves six grandchildren, Darcy (Stevens) Yuille and her husband Jim of Haddam Neck; Patricia (Stevens) Muggeo and her husband Tom of Beacon Falls, James Stevens and wife Tracy of Seymour, Jennifer (Waldorf) Stevens and her husband Greg, Mark Waldorf of Seymour and Lauren (Scott) Donovan and her husband Dean of Colchester; nine great-grandchildren, Emily, James, Samantha, Christopher, Tara, Todd, Jamie, Samuel and Delaney, as well as sevral nieces and nephews. She also leaves a long-time friend and neighbor, Betty. She was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, a devoted membeer of a scripture group for many years and a member of the Joseph A. Doyle Senior Center in Ansonia. Ann was predeceased by her daughter Louise (Waldorf) Stevens of Seymour; three brothers, John, Michael and Joseph Mickiewicz; and two sisters Mary Mickiewicz and Harriet (Mickiewicz) Zuraw. The Bennett Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
