The Life of Mildred Griffin Riordan
Mildred G. "Boots" Riordan, 90, of Pittsfield, MA entered into rest on Wednesday February 17, 2010 at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield, MA. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to Joseph Riordan. Mrs. Riordan was born in Ansonia, daughter of the late Jeremiah and Catherine Griffin and was a Derby resident for most of her life. She was a secretary for the Derby Tax Collector before working at Sikorsky Aircraft until her retirement. Mrs. Riordan volunteered at the Griffin Hospital.
She is the loving mother of William Riordan and his wife Marianne and Patricia Reineck; sister of the late Dorothy Hazard. She is the loving grandmother of C.David Oates and his girlfriend Deneen Sasko and Eileen Mary Hine and her husband Brian, great grandmother of Taylor Grace Hine and aunt of Walter Hazard. Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia.
