The Life of Giovanni Balisciano
Giorvanni Balisciano, 76, beloved husband of Ann "Dolly" Cerritelli Balisciano of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest Wednesday evening June 17, 2009 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Balisciano was born in Solopaca, Benevento, Italy, February 17, 1933, son of the late Francesco and Gelsomina Vivenzio Balisciano. A resident of Ansonia since immigrating from Italy in 1962, he was employed at Hull Dye in Derby, B.F. Goodrich in Shelton, Mossberg & Sons in North Haven and retired from Ansonia Copper & Brass. He was a former Carabiniere in Italy for 11 years. He was an avid golfer and hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Besides his wife Dolly, he is survived by two sons, John and his wife Sandra of Derby and Frank and his wife Amy of Wallingford; two daughters, Annmarie Dreher and her husband Peter of Dartmouth, MA and Karen Stine of Derby; six grandchildren, Erika, Jessica and James Stine and Nicole, Katy and Peter Dreher. The Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home Ansonia is entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia.
