The Life of Alex Maleszweski

Alex Maleszweski, 59, husband to Susan Leonard Ortlepp Maleszweski of Oxford, died Wednesday March 26, 2008 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born February 9, 1949 in New York City, son of the late Alexander and Mary Bellas Maleszweski. Alex was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles" and was awarded the Bronze Star. He graduated from the Connecticut School of Electronics and was president and co-owner of Precision Scale Inc. of Ansonia. Alex is remembered by his family as a wonderful husband and a great father with a marvelous sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was an avid vegetable gardener, fisherman and poker player. In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by his two sons, Justin M. Maleszweski and Amanda of Albany, N.Y. and Christ Ortlepp of Raleigh, N.C. as well as several cousins. Funeral services wil be held Saturday from The Jenkins-King Funeral Home Ansonia. Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia.
