The Life of Mary Kosko Taras

Mary Taras, 99, of Ansonia, wife of the late Walter Taras, died Feb. 4, 2010. Daughter of the late John and Pelagia Rodowitz Kosko, she was born July 13, 1910 in Ansonia. Mrs. Taras worked for General Electric Co. and was an active P.T.A. member. She was a member of the Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church in Ansonia and sang in the church choir. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Fainer and her husband James of Ansonia and Joan Novarro of Clinton; sister-in-law Helen Kosko of Shelton; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister Ann Kasinak; and two brothers John and Louis Kosko. Jenkins King and Malerba Funeral Home handled arrangements. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
