The Life of Olga Tabak Zavednak

Olga Tabak Zavednak, 94, of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Walter A. Zavednak, died January 12, 2009 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. Born in Bridgeport, October 25 1914, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Fetcho Tabak. Mrs. Zavednak was a homemaker and long time member of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church. She is survived by her devoted children, David Zavednak and his wife, Irene of Northford and Mary Zavednak of North Branford; a cherished granddaughter, Stacey Lombardi and her husband, Charles III of Durham. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Horischak, Anna Kozulko, Mary and Helen Tabak; and brothers, John, Nicholas, Vladimir and Walter. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday January 14, 2009 in Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, Ansonia. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home Ansonia is entrusted with the arrangements.
