The Life of Anna Sobolisky

Anna M. Sobolisky, age 93, a former Ansonia resident, of St. Augustine, FL died Wednesday October 5, 2005.  She was born November 14, 1911 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Dymytry and Mary Tchir Homko.  She worked as a crane operator for Farrel Corp. of Derby, as well as BF.Goodrich until 1974.  She was a member of the Falconettes, as ell as the Doyle Senior Center, both in ANsonia.  She was a communicant of the St. Joseph's Church of Ansonia.  She is survived by her son, Robert L. Sobolishy of Ansonia; one daughter, Janet S. Rubelmann of St. Augustine, FL; one brother, Dymetro Homko of Seymour; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In adition to her late husband Louis, she is predeceased by three brothers, Joh, Paul and Steven Homko.  Funeral Services will be held on Ssaturday, October 8, at 8 am from the Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street, Ansonia.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am from St, Joseph's Church of Ansonia.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.  Friends may call on Friday 5 to 8 pm.  In liew of flowers, donations may be made to Our House, Alzheimers adlt day care, 38 Arenta Stret, St. Augustine, FL 32084.
