Mrs. Seccombe's Long Life Ends

Well Known Resident Passed Away Early This Morning at Age of 93 Years.

Mrs. Elizabeth Seccombe died early this morning at the age of 93 years.  Mrs. Seccombe enjoyed excellent health until a few years ago and was quite active for one of her age.  The end came at 4 o'clock this morning, being quiet and peaceful.

The death of Mrs. Seccombe brings regret to many, especially among the older residents of Ansonia and Seymour who had enjoyed her acquaintance during a long period of years.  Mrs. Seccombe, who was born in England, had lived in this country for over half a century and was well and favorably known.  Endowed with those traits which make and holds friends, she held the respect and esteem of all and her passing removes one who made her long and useful life one of service and devotion to others.

Mrs. Seccombe was the widow of Nicholas Seccombe who died years ago.  She leaves two sons, Elias Seccombe of this city and Derby, Harry Seccombe who lives in England and a daughter, Mrs. Maude Parsons, of Seymour.  There are also seven grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

The arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.
