The Life of Charles Moore
Charles Moore Sr., age 81, of West Haven, entered into eternal life to be with the lord July 27, 2011. He was born November 9, 1929 in N.Y.C. to the late Nathaniel Moore & Anna Kenley. Charles graduated from Ansonia High School, Class of 1949. He received his honorable discharge as Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force in 1952 and retired from U.S.P.S. after dedicating 30 years of service in 1986. He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons Charles Moore Jr. (Victoria) of Meriden & Jerome Moore Sr. (Estavia) of Hamden, step daughters Donna & Tracey of New Haven, siblings Arthur Moore and Ruth Anderson of N.Y.C., grandchildren Charles III (Shameka) of Texas, Parris, Ashlei, Steven & Rome Moore and Mahogany, Taylor & Paige, all of New Haven, great grandchildren, Charles IV & Madison of Texas & Skye Williams of New Haven, special cousin Clarence Beal, beloved friend Audrey Savage and a host of other relatives & friends. Charles was predeceased by siblings James Moore, Billy and Henry Bronson & grandson Jerome Moore Jr. Funeral services will be held on Monday, 9:30 a.m. at The Varick Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church 242 Dixwell Ave. New Haven. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
