The Life of IRENE M. KOZLOWSKI

Age 95 of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2021. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Joseph Kozlowski; sisters, Helen Powers and Julia Paulovkin; and brother, Joseph a/k/a "Larry" She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Robbins, and by nieces and nephews, Regina McManus (Denny), Mickey Powers (Pat), Susan Beam (Greg), Cynthia Powers, Colleen Powers (Mark Lewandowski), Regis Powers (Mary Quinlan), Dennis Robbins (Cindy), Gail Robbins, and Mark Robbins (Abby). It gave "Aunt Renee" great joy to have so many great, great-great and three times great-nieces and nephews. She was a vital, integral part of our lives and was known as Aunt Renee to many friends and acquaintances! Irene worked for Nabisco in East Liberty for 45 years as an operator of a packing machine. She was a dedicated, reliable worker who also enjoyed bowling, traveling and socializing with friends from work. Aunt Renee loved to crochet and made countless gifts for her family including afghans for each new family addition, college student and family members of any age! Aunt Renee shared her love of crocheting by making afghans for veterans hospitals, neonatal units, organizations that served the homeless population, and even "cat mats" for animal shelters. Aunt Renee loved watching the Pirates and enjoyed family game nights, especially playing euchre and pinochle with her favorite partners! She was an involved member of St. Kieran's Church in Lawrenceville for over 60 years, and was active in the Christian Mothers Guild and Bible Study group. She was also a valued member of the VFW Post 214 Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will be held Friday, from 2-8 p.m., at D'ALESSANDRO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY LTD., at Butler at 46th Sts.
