The Life of SAWYER JAMES CRANDALL

Sawyer James Crandall was born July 7, 2020 at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 after a long seven month battle.

Sawyer loved head rubs, music therapy (especially his wind chimes), and being read to by his mom. He was a social butterfly; happiest when held and surrounded by his amazing team of loving medical professionals. He was a smiley, cuddly sweet little boy with his daddy's blue eyes and laid-back personality.

Sawyer is survived by his parents, Joshua and Monica Crandall; brother s Finnegan and Charles Crandall; and grandparents, Allan and Rachel Crandall and Michael and Catherine Trimble.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am, Monday, February 15, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Des Moines. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be given to Tori’s Angels in memory of Sawyer.

The church ask everyone in attendance to wear a mask and social distance.
