The Life of Anna Babarik Olechnowich
Anna Olechnowich, 89, of Waterbury, formerly of Seymour entered into peaceful rest July 28, 2008 at the Hewitt Memorial Hospital, Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Olechnowich. She was born March 26, 1919 in New Haven, daughter of the late Wasil and Josephine Pigocki Babarik. Anna was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church Ansonia. She enjoyed knitting and sewing, bingo, cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed tag sales. Anna leaves her loving daughters, Joanne Trez and her husband Thomas of Shippensburg, PA and Cynthia Guastaferri and her husband Mark of Prospect and five cherished grandchildren, Elizabeeth and Jeffrey Trez, Nicholas, Michael and Lauren Guastaferri and her great granddaughter Anna Trez. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Anthony's Church. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home Seymour is entrusted with the arrangements.
